The Kayla Wass Band is a 5 piece country music band. Twenty year-old Kayla is the lead singer with a voice compared to Trisha Yearwood and Carrie Underwood. She can sing the heck out of a Sugarland or Gretchen Wilson song or take you back a few years to the Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline days. She sings from the heart with loads of emotion. She has won several awards including the 2007 Female Vocalist & Entertainer of the Year in Pigeon Forge, TN. Veteran band members and brothers, Kevin Overlock on lead guitar and Buzzy Overlock on bass guitar, lend their superb sibling harmony to help make the band's unique sound. Kevin with his Vince Gill-like voice, and Buzzy's Brooks & Dunn sound, also sing lead. Our newest member, Willie Ross, on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Don Barry on drums, complete our band's one of a kind sound. Willie's voice makes Conway Twitty come alive again, complete with his famous growl! While Don's years of experience on drums keeps the beat going all night long

SONOGEE REHAB & LIVING CENTER'S ALZHEIMER'S BENEFIT SHOW:
We are playing at a benefit for the Sonogee Rehab & Living Center in Bar Harbor on Saturday, September 27th from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. This benefit is to raise money for Alzheimer's. It is a great cause, and we'd love to have you come out and join us to help those with this devestating disease. It will be held at MDI High School in Bar Harbor, and we would love to see you there! Tickets are $10/person. Food will be served from 6:00 - 7:30. So you won't want to miss this show, enjoy the food and support a great cause!

My new cd will be completed shortly (hopefully within 2 weeks)! I'm very excited about this and hope you will enjoy it. It has some of my favorite songs on it from great artists like Sugarland, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Patsy Cline and various other wonderful artists. August 20, 2008 Update: NEW YEAR'S EVE
Okay, okay...you might ask why am I talking about New Year's Eve in August! Well, it’s not too early to start planning where you’re going to spend your New Year’s Eve!
And we're so excited to announce that The Kayla Wass Band will join The Danny Harper Show this year for what’s sure to be an exciting evening filled with some great country music, lots of dancing and great food! Join us for a country rockin’ New Year’s Eve at the Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor and we'll ring in 2009 together! Don’t miss out on this great show! Tickets will be on sale soon.
